We’re excited to host Kate Howard (accompanied by guitarist Jimmy George) at our next Bastrop Songwriters Showcase, held at Homespun Wisdom. Her sound is a mixture of many different genres… more pop than folk, but sometimes with a jazzy swing to it. Tony Scalzo (Fastball) says of Ms. Howard, “Her lyrics take you to a place no other songwriter will.” International touring musician Ed Hamell (Hamell on Trial) says Kate is "a cross between Tom Waits and Minnie Pearl".
