BLMF is proud to announce the launch of our Gear for Good music instrument and equipment distribution program!

We are now accepting donations of music instruments, sound and recording equipment, and related supplies from generous local donors. We will redistribute them to local music students, musicians, and venues to support our live music community.

Thanks to generous donors, we have been able to provide a piano to a young Bastrop pianist so she can practice her music at home. Our Executive Director Robert A. Kraft, Board Member Phil Hurley and Carrie Caylor were delighted to surprise her and her family with the instrument at her piano lesson.

One of the struggles with building a live music scene is the lack of sound systems and gear at the local clubs. Local venue 602 Brew Co. is a big part of why Bastrop is special. 602's booker and local musician Mike Kiddoo has performed with us before, and we worked with him to get new equipment for the venue. We were able to hook them up with some mics, stands, and cables so they can keep Main St. jumping with great bands every weekend!

If you would like to donate music equipment or instruments please complete the form below (or just send an email to info@BastropLiveMusicFoundation.org).

If you would like to support our program but don’t have equipment you aren’t using – please consider a monetary donation! Thank you for your support of the Bastrop music scene.
